Last week I was able to get out and have one of the best experiences anyone could ask for, attending a Wildlife Photography Workshop with John E. Marriott and four other awesome photographers! Having never met any of them before, I knew it was going to be an excellent time when the group first met and it instantly felt like a reunion of old friends! I know that taking a chance to photograph wildlife is always a gamble as you never know when or if you will find animals. I'm sure John felt somewhat stressed at times worrying about whether we might see animals or not. Watching John work was amazing. I've never seen anyone who was so adept at picking out fresh animal tracks while traveling along at highway speeds as well as spotting animals, large and small. It was a pleasure and I look forward to seeing everyone again! The following are some images I took while on the workshop.

A pack of Gray Wolves chased this deer into open water on a frozen lake and waited most of the day before the deer tried to escape and she was dinner for the wolves. |
