We had yet another new visitor to our yard. This Rough-Legged Hawk swooped in really low checking out one of our dogs! The bird was looking for food and I think had it's fill on some of the birds at the feeder. It stayed for a couple of days and was gone. These birds breed along the arctic circle and winter south of the border. It was the first time we've seen this species! I was amazed it let me get so close for these images!
