We were out for a drive today and stopped in at Government House where we met Matthew who is another connoisseur of great camera equipment (Canon of course). It was very nice meeting you. We hope you got some great shots!

Lawn Day!

Here are some hard working kids! Thanks for showing up to cut the lawn Ann, but I think it's time for you to take a break and leave the hard work to David until after the baby is born! Wishing you all the best!

We were out last night checking on the local geese and found this mom and her little ones.

A wet day

It looks like it's going to be a rainy day...or maybe days... Let's hope that it clears up by the weekend and we can get outdoors for more photo shoots!

You really know spring is here when you see these guys! This is an American Avocet, they never return from their winter holiday until it warms up here!

Another day with the birds...

We took a few minutes out today to go over to Telford Lake and check the birds. Most if not all types are nesting now and we will see how many new shots of nests and young birds we can get in the near future....but for now enjoy....

and these are of a female Red-Winged Blackbird.

This one was gathering nesting material and taking it back to her nest in the reeds...

and here I am. I had this new friend follow me the entire time we were at the lake...he almost took some grass out of my hand, but he still wasn't sure if he wanted to get that close.

Wednesday Birds

We took a walk around Telford Lake to take some pictures of the birds. Here is a couple of the ones we found. Top picture is a Common Grackle and the bottom pic is a Red-Winged Blackbird.
