You know when spring is around the corner when you run into our friendly porcupines. This is the first one of the year that I've seen and he was out having lunch! Unfortunately while he could walk on the crust of the snow, I had to wade through snow almost to my waist to get these shots!

New Visitor to our yard!

We had yet another new visitor to our yard. This Rough-Legged Hawk swooped in really low checking out one of our dogs! The bird was looking for food and I think had it's fill on some of the birds at the feeder. It stayed for a couple of days and was gone. These birds breed along the arctic circle and winter south of the border. It was the first time we've seen this species! I was amazed it let me get so close for these images!

I was driving home the other day and spotted a bird in the distance that I thought was a large eagle, but as I got closer I saw that it was a Turkey Vulture, a rarely seen bird in this part of the country! I managed to get a few pics before the bird took flight!

This coyote was laying next to a gopher hole until he noticed me about to take his picture!

I was taking a photo of a bird when I lowered the camera and noticed this young buck running across a field next to me. I managed to get off a few shots before he was gone.

Tribute to Sheryl

Brenda and I are very sad to learn of the passing of Sheryl Wolfe on April 19, 2010 from a massive stroke at the age of 18 years. We had the honor and privilege to meet and work with Sheryl and her parents last summer on Oahu. She was a very special young woman that touched our hearts instantly! Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this very difficult time.

We had a very busy year that got even busier lately and we were not able to send cards out to all of you.

Our year included a wedding in Punta Cana, our annual trade show in Vegas, and a fantastic trip back to Hawaii where we met many wonderful and great new friends! We kept very busy with weddings, engagements, graduations, family, baby & pet portraits, fashion shows, model portfolios and with new and existing commercial customers!

We also met many new friends through the PPOC and PPA and look forward to working with all of you in the New Year!

We thank you all for a great year and look forward to another great one in 2010!

I found this coyote waiting to catch whatever had gone into it's hole in the ground! He watched me, then walked a few meters away and laid down to hide from me until I left. He wasn't as afraid of people as most coyotes are.
